Defensive Back: Skills and Drills presents an overview of the philosophy and developmental drills that can be used to prepare defensive backs in an eight-man front (4-2-5) defense. Biography

  • Todd Nichols is the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Elmhurst College. Previously, he coached the Blue Jays' defensive backs and served as Elmhurst's strength and conditioning coach. Prior to his arrival at Elmhurst, Nichols served as an assistant coach at Northern Illinois University and Hutchinson Junior College in Hutchinson, Kansas. Nichols holds a bachelor of science degree (1995) in physical education from William Jewell College (MO), where he lettered four years in football and captained the Cardinals his senior year. Subsequently, he earned a master's degree in sports administration from NIU.
