Youth Sports: Perspectives for a New Century offers a comprehensive and critical examination of the many dimensions of youth sports. Organized into three parts, the book covers biological and health related issues, social and psychological issues, and community issues in youth sports. The topics are presented by a number of qualified contributors who presented at the conference Youth Sports in the 21st Century: Organized Sport in the Lives of Children and Adolescents, sponsored by the Institute for the Study of youth Sports of Michigan State University in 1999.
