Bob Huggins

Bob Huggins is a proven success as a program-builder, recruiter, game-strategist, and motivator. He is currently the head men’s basketball coach at West Virginia University, a position he assumed in 2007. Previously, he was the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Cincinnati from 1989 to 2005. During his 16 years at the helm of the Bearcats’ program, Huggins compiled an impressive 399-127 record, making him the winningest coach in U.C. history. During his impressive career, Huggins has been awarded many coaching honors, including the Ray Meyer Award as the Conference USA Coach of the Year in 1997-98, 1998-99, and 1999-2000. He was named co-national coach of the year by The Sporting News in 2004-05 and was also Basketball Times’ selection for national coach of the year for the 1997-98 season.
