Kenny Ratledge

Kenny Ratledge has been a defensive coordinator for 33 years and is currently the special teams coordinator and defensive line coach at Pigeon Forge High School in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Ratledge has had numerous football articles published in national publications as well as authoring five books: Attacking Football’s Wing-T, Football’s Attacking 46 Bear Defense, Coaching Football’s Special Teams, Developing a Defensive Game Plan, and Coaching Defensive Line Play. Ratledge started his coaching career at his alma mater, Lenoir City High School in Tennessee. His other coaching stops include Doyle High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. In his first year as defensive coordinator at Doyle, the defense helped lead the Pioneers to a 10-0 season. At the time, Doyle had won one game in three years. Ratledge has coached defensive line, inside linebackers, outside linebackers, secondary, offensive line, and special teams. During his career, he has also coached track, baseball, and basketball. In 2002, he was named the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year.
