Terry Bodnar

Terry Bodnar has been a member of the gridiron staff at Carnegie Mellon University for more than three decades. He joined Carnegie Mellon as a graduate assistant in 1984, and one year later was appointed assistant outside linebacker coach. He was promoted to defensive coordinator in the spring of 1986. Under Bodnar, the Tartans annually boast one of the top defensive units in the University Athletic Association (UAA). Bodnar earned his bachelor’s degree in education in 1976 from Marietta College, where he lettered as a linebacker and center. He earned his master’s degree in sports science in 1988 from Indiana University (PA). He began his football coaching career in 1977 at the interscholastic level, where he spent seven seasons before joining Carnegie Mellon.
