Ray Perkins

Ray Perkins is the president of the Positively Speaking Foundation (www.positivelyspeaking.org), a non-profit organization that was established to conduct instructional football camps for kids. Since 2004, he has also served as a vice principal at Dobson (AZ) High School. A 1988 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he earned three letters as a defensive tackle for the Cavaliers, Perkins has had an extensive career in football—both as an NFL player (Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cleveland Browns) and as a coach. In 1993, he started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Queen Creek (AZ) High School. He has also held positions on the gridiron staffs at Arizona Boys Ranch and Phoenix Christian High School. He has coached in five state championship games—two of which his team won. A much sought-after clinic speaker, Perkins is widely respected for his knowledge of and ability to teach defensive line play fundamentals.
