Marvin Lewis

Marvin Lewis is the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, a position he assumed in 2003. Prior to accepting his present position, he served as the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the Washington Redskins. Before that, he was the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, where he helped develop what is arguably the best NFL defense of all time in 2000. That defense set a new single-season record for fewest points allowed in a 16-game season with 165, clipping 22 points off the previous record, as well as finishing at the top of the league in a half dozen other key categories. With more than two decades of coaching experience Lewis is widely regarded as one of the top defensive coaches in the game.
