Jim Boheim

Jim Boeheim is the head men’s basketball coach at Syracuse University, a position he assumed in 1976. Boeheim has been associated with basketball at Syracuse since 1962, first as a player, then as an assistant (1969-’76), and currently as the head coach. He is the winningest coach in Orangemen history with over 600 career victories. He won both his 350th and 400th game faster than any coach in basketball history. During his tenure at Syracuse, Boeheim has turned the Orangemen into one of the nation’s elite programs, and has made 26 postseason and a conference-record 12 championship-game appearances. His Orangemen teams have won at least 26 games eleven times. For his efforts, he has been honored numerous times, including being named District II Coach of the Year seven times by the NABC.
