Thomas Cousins

Thomas Cousins is an assistant football coach at West Ashley (SC) High School, a position he assumed in 2006. Before joining the Wildcats’ staff, he coached at Avon Park (FL) High School for seven seasons (1999-2005), the last three as the Red Devils’ head coach. Having been involved in the game of football for over three decades (as either a player or a coach), Cousins began his coaching career in 1991 as a defensive line coach at his alma mater, Newberry College. Since that time, he has also served on the gridiron staffs at Goose Creek (SC) High School, Charleston Southern University, and Hardee (FL) High School. The author of a well-received book on the 3-5-3 defense, Cousins is a highly sought-after lecturer at football clinics around the country.
