Alex Kolt

Alex Kolt joined Georgetown’s coaching staff in 2011. He switched sides of the ball to coach the offensive line in the spring of 2017. In 2021, Georgetown ranked third in the conference in total offense, recording 333.7 yards and 19.0 points per game. In his first three seasons with the offensive line, the unit has improved drastically each year. The Hoyas nearly doubled their rushing totals from 2017 to 2018 before leading the Patriot League with 147.4 rushing yards/game and 20 rushing touchdowns in 2019. The offensive line also allowed a league-low 19 sacks in 2019. Kolt’s defensive line was a strength for the Hoyas in his four seasons with the unit. In 2016, Georgetown ranked third in the Patriot League, allowing 155.8 rushing ypg. Over the years, Kolt has guided many players to All- League Honors, as well as All-Academic Honors. An Arlington, Va., native, Kolt graduated with a B.A. in history and a minor in rhetoric in 2010 and earned a master’s of education in sports leadership in 2011 at Hampden-Sydney. He currently resides in Alexandria with his wife, Nicole.
