Joey Sulkowski
Joey Sulkowski is the recruiting coordinator as well as the wide receivers and tight ends coach at Hargrave Military Academy. The younger Sulkowski is responsible for coordinating the college recruiting efforts and organizing Hargrave’s yearly college combine, which attracts nearly 400 coaches each year. Sulkowski has just completed a very well-traveled collegiate playing career. Sulkowski is one of a very small group of athletes who has participated at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels. He began his journey playing wide receiver for Tommy Tuberville at Auburn University in Alabama. After a serious knee injury, he transferred to Valdosta State University, where he played under his older brother as a tight end for the Blazers. While at VSU, Sulkowski helped the Blazers win the Gulf South Conference Championship in 2000. Sulkowski finally transferred to Chowan College, where he finished his eligibility and once again played tight end under his older brother. Sulkowski is a member of the American Football Coaches Association and also does committee work for the organization. Sulkowski is also a co-author of an article published in American Football Monthly titled Changing the Tempo of the Game.
