Steve Hayward
Steve Hayward has coached in the midwest for over 20 years. His manner and skills have become a legend among his colleagues and students alike. Coach Hayward has coached at the Little League, high school, and collegiate levels. His Pony League teams went to the World Series four times. In 1987, Steve Hayward received the Amateur Baseball Coach of the Year award presented by the United States Baseball Federation. Coach Hayward is currently a scout in the Philadelphia Phillies Professional Baseball Organization, head hitting instructor at Strikes Baseball Academy in Broadview, Illinois, and he also represents the Stan-Mil Mitt Company throughout the midwest. Coach Steve Hayward counts many current and former major league players as friends and colleagues. Many of his students are currently on the rosters of college baseball teams around the country. Steve is well-known for his love of baseball. His rapid-fire wit and creative teaching techniques have developed young players who not only excel at the fundamentals of baseball, but also remain devoted to baseball and to Steve.
