Matt Miers

Matt Miers is the passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Solon Community High School in Solon, Iowa. Previously, he coached football at Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, from 1999 through 2013. During that time, his positions included head freshman coach, head sophomore coach, and varsity offensive coordinator. Miers has had articles published in Gridiron Strategies magazine and online for X & O Labs. He graduated from the University of Iowa, where he was part of the support staff for the University of Iowa football team. He earned his master’s degree from Coe College. Miers enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his family at the Lake of the Ozarks. He recently ran his first marathon. He currently teaches at Harding Middle School in Cedar Rapids. Miers and his wife, Kimberly, have a son, Tyler. They reside in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
