Larry Shyatt

Larry Shyatt is the associate head men's basketball coach at the University of Florida, a position he has held since 2003. Prior to joining the Gators' staff, he served as the head men's basketball coach at Clemson for five seasons (1998-2003). Shyatt is known for his knowledge of how to establish a tenacious defense and dominance on the boards. A 1973 graduate of the College of Wooster, Shyatt began his coaching career as a student assistant coach at his alma mater. He then became a graduate assistant coach at Akron before becoming a full-time assistant in 1975 at Utah. He has also held positions as an assistant coach at Cleveland State, New Mexico, Providence, and Clemson. In 1997, he received his first head coaching job when he was named head coach at Wyoming.
