Heath Hamrick

Heath Hamrick is a varsity receiver and defensive end coach at Rio Vista High School in Rio Vista, Texas. Prior to assuming his current position in 2005, Hamrick worked as a varsity assistant and history teacher at Saint Jo High School in Saint Jo, Texas from 2004 to 2005. Born in Pasadena, Texas, into a third-generation coaching family, Hamrick grew up on the sidelines as his father, Slugger Hamrick, coached at places ranging from Central Texas to the Rio Grande Valley and back again. An All-Brazos Valley selection both ways at Bremond (TX) High School, Hamrick played collegiate football—wide receiver and center—for Trinity University, where he won the inaugural Hustler of the Year award. Hamrick lives in Rio Vista, Texas, with his wife, Keri.
