Mike Aruanno
Mike Aruanno is the head football coach at Caravel Academy High School in Bear, Delaware. Mike spent most of the last 10 years learning everything he could about coaching. He constantly seeks information about coaching football from books and videos to attending as many coaching clinics as possible. He has spent time at local college and high school programs trying to learn as much as he can from others. Mike has also experienced success as a coach. He spent 8 of those last 10 years as a head coach at the youth level. He amassed a record of 97-9 during those years coaching in 6 Championship games in 8 seasons. He has never lost more than one regular season game in his entire career as a head coach. He has also given back to the community in other ways. He developed a coaching clinic for area coaches to help other coaches improve their skills as a coach. Mike also developed the only youth football camp in the area that allowed contact among the participants. His camps have had as many as 110 children at one time. He has always volunteered much of his time to help local children and coaches alike. In fact this book was originally started as a coaching manual for local coaches, many of which still use the manual on a regular basis. The feedback from coaches he has helped is what inspired him to expand his manual into a book.
