Larry Simcox
Larry Simcox is an assistant baseball coach at the University of Tennessee, a position he assumed in 1990. The 10-year coaching veteran has numerous responsibilities for the Vols’ diamond program, including serving as the team’s infield coach, assisting with hitting instruction, positioning the defense, and coaching third base. Under Simcox’s guidance, the Vols are annually ranked among the best fielding teams in the nation. A 1982 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned two letters as a shortstop and was named to the All-Southeastern Conference team as a senior, Simcox has coached 28 infielders who have subsequently signed professional baseball contracts.
