Stephen Tharrett

Stephen Tharrett is cofounder and partner, along with Mark Williamson, of ClubIntel, a member and brand insights firm that is focused on helping businesses understand, appreciate and leverage the needs, wants and personal journeys of employees, customers and members. Stephen is also the owner and president of Club Industry Consulting, a global consulting business based in the U.S. From September 2008 till October 2010, Stephen served as the Chief Executive Officer for the Russian Fitness Group, a privately held fitness club company that owns and operates clubs throughout Russia. ClubIntel's client list includes such prominent organizations as the Columbia Association, Houstonian, IHRSA, Maryland Athletic Clubs and Millennium Sports Club Management/Sports Club LA. Stephen had a 20 plus year career with ClubCorp, a billion dollar private club company based in Dallas, Texas, where he served in several roles ranging from director of athletics to senior vice president for athletics, golf and tennis, as well as serving on the company's leadership cabinet and business planning committee.

Stephen is a former board member and president of IHRSA, having served as president of the international association from 1996-1997. Stephen's partner, Mark Williamson, had a 17 year career leading the Member insights team at ClubCorp, followed by stints leading the Consumer Insight teams for Match.com and industry-leading restaurant brands such as Applebee's, Chili's, Macaroni Grill and Corner Bakery.
