Bob Christmas

Bob Christmas, a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, is the head football coach at North Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia. Previously, Bob was the head football coach and athletic director at Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. Before going south to Georgia, Bob was the head football coach at Jefferson Forest High School in Forest, Virginia, where he produced two state championships. His other coaching experience includes being the head football coach at Lynchburg Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia, and the outside linebacker coach/recruiting coordinator at Liberty University, in Lynchburg, Virginia. Bob has received numerous awards and honors in his high school football coaching career. He was named Coach of the Year by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association for Region 7 AAA in 2004, 2006, and 2007, and for Region 1 AAAAA in 1998. He was selected to coach in the GACA North South All-Star Game in 2006. In 2004, Bob was named AAA Coach of the Year by the Georgia Sportswriters and All-Area Coach of the Year by the Gainesville (GA) Times. Prior to coaching in Georgia, Bob was named Coach of the Year in 1993 by the Virginia High School Coaches Association and in 1991 by the News and Daily Advance, WDBJ, and Seminole District. Bob was selected to coach the West All-Stars in both the Virginia High School League All-Star Game (1993) and the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game (1991, 1992). Bob led his teams to state championships in Virginia in 1993 (12-2), 1992 (13-1), and 1991 (13-1). Bob and his wife, Peggy, live in Gainesville, Georgia, and have six children and one grandchild.
