Rob Best

Rob Best is the quarterbacks coach at the University of Buffalo, a position he assumed in 2003. Prior to that, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Appalachian State University for 14 seasons. During his tenure on the Mountaineers’ staff, he helped lead ASU to three Southern Conference championships and 10 NCAA playoff appearances. The 13 winning seasons during Best’s 14 years at ASU included a perfect 11-0 regular season in 1995. A 1972 graduate of Texas Tech University, where he was a two-year starter at wide receiver, Best’s extensive coaching career includes stints at both the interscholastic and intercollegiate level.
