Sam Pittman
Sam Pittman is the offensive line coach at the University of North Carolina, a position he assumed in 2007. Pittman joined the Tar Heels’ staff after four seasons as Northern Illinois’ offensive line coach (2003-2006) and three years as the Huskies’ assistant head coach (2004-2006). A 1986 graduate of Pittsburg State University, where he earned four letters as a defensive end, Pittman has had several other coaching stints in his successful career, including Cincinnati, Oklahoma, Western Michigan, Missouri, and Kansas. One of the most respected assistant coaches in the game, Pittman coached at the interscholastic level for five seasons before entering the collegiate coaching ranks.
