Scott Burton

Scott Burton is an assistant football coach at the University of Richmond, a position he assumed in 2008. Before that, he served as the head football coach at Highland Springs (VA) High School for nine seasons. During his tenure with the Springers, he compiled a 72-26 record, leading Highland Springs to the playoffs his last seven years at the helm. A 1995 graduate of the University of Richmond, where he was a four-year letterman as a safety for the Spiders and had 16 career interceptions, Burton is widely respected as one of the outstanding young coaches in the game. He and his wife, Meg, have three sons—Zeb, Ty, and Keegan.
