Tom Gerlach

Tom Gerlach is currently a Christian soccer coach for Missionary Athletics International an organization based in Matthews, NC. Tom grew up in Delaware, and played soccer at NCAA Division II Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN. He later played semi-professional soccer with the Knoxville Impact, and toured in Europe with the Charlotte Eagles. Tom has almost two decades of high school and middle school coaching experience. He was nominated as National Coach of the Year in 2004, and 2006 by the NSCAA. He has received over 12 coach of the year honors on the state and regional level. His high school boy’s team won six A/AA Tennessee State Championships in 2003, 04, 05, 06, 07, and 09, and was runner up in 2008. His middle school girls’ team set an unprecedented record of three year undefeated regular season victories in the top division in Knoxville. Tom and his wife, Jodi, have two children (Bennett and Addison) and reside in Knoxville, TN.
