Biography
- Jeff Farrington is the defensive backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Furman University, a position he assumed in 2002. Since joining the Paladins, he has helped establish the Furman secondary as one of the top defensive back units in NCAA Division I-AA. Prior to joining the Furman staff, Farrington served as defensive coordinator and secondary coach at East Tennessee State for five seasons. During his tenure at ETSU, three Buccaneer defensive standouts signed NFL contracts. Before his stint with the Buccaneers, he served five seasons (1992-1996) as defensive coordinator and secondary coach at West Georgia College, where he directed the Wolves' defense, which ranked high nationally in NCAA Division II in several defensive categories. A 1982 graduate of the The Citadel, Farrington is widely respected as one of the top defensive assistants in the game.
