Rush Propst

Rush Propst is the football coach at Hoover (AL) High School, a position he assumed in 1999. Since taking the reins of the Bucs' gridiron program, Propst has led Hoover to unprecedented success. In the process, Hoover has won five state championships (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) and has consistently been ranked among the top interscholastic teams in the United States. A graduate of Jacksonville State University, where he played wide receiver, Propst began his coaching career as an assistant coach on the high school level. After eight years as an assistant coach, he then served as the head football coach at Ashville H.S. (1989-1993), Eufaula H.S. (1994-1996), Alba H.S. (1997), and Alma Bryant H.S. (1997-1998) before accepting his present position. Propst is widely respected as one of the top interscholastic coaches in the game.
