Fred Bouchard

Fred Bouchard will be the first head football coach and assistant principal at the new Staley High School in North Kansas City opening in the fall of 2008. Previously, he held the same positions at Harrisonville (MO) High School. In his six seasons with the Wildcats, his gridiron achieved a mark of 75-6. At three of his head coaching stops, including Harrisonville, he took over programs that had only one win the previous year and made immediate improvements the very first year, including an 8-3 mark and conference and district championships at Harrisonville in 2002. During the next five years, Harrisonville was a remarkable 67-3, with state championships in 2003, 2005, 2006, and 2007, plus a state runner-up finish in 2004. Bouchard’s coaching highlights include a 123-19 record in the past eleven seasons at the high school level, with eleven straight playoff appearances, including eleven district championships and nine conference championships and a 25-7 playoff record. He has been conference, district, or state coach of the year in 1994 and 1995 (Palmyra), 2001 (Bolivar), and 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 (Harrisonville). He is the past president of the Missouri Football Coaches Association and speaks nationwide at various national and regional clinics and conferences. He was selected as the Midwest Region Coach of the Year and was one of the six finalists for the National Coach of the Year for 2006. Fred was selected into the inaugural class of the Excellence in Education Hall of Fame at his alma mater, Culver Stockton College, and has been recognized by West Illinois University as a “Most Influential Educator,” as well as being selected for Who’s Who Among American Educators numerous times.
