John Messinger
John Messinger is the head football coach at South Charleston (WV) High School, a position he has held since 2006. During his tenure at the helm of the Black Eagles, South Charleston has won two West Virginia AAA state championships (2008, 2009). Prior to his present position, he served as the strength coach and offensive line/defensive line coach for the Black Eagles for four seasons. Messinger also has extensive personal experience as a weight lifter, including being a 27-time West Virginia state powerlifting champion. In the process, Messinger has set numerous state and national records in powerlifting.
