John Rose

John Rose is currently retired after coaching high school football for more than 30 years at Adair-Casey High School (1969 to 1976) in Adair, Iowa, and Creston High School (1976 to 2004) in Creston, Iowa. From 1980 to 1981, he served as an American exchange teacher at Bosworth College in Desford, England, where he learned to appreciate the contributions of rugby to the evolution of American football. Rose’s total coaching experience includes coaching the offensive line, offensive backs, linebackers, and defensive backs, as well as serving as defensive coordinator. Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science and a master’s degree in social studies curriculum from Mankato State University (now known as Minnesota State).
