- Nick Rapone is the defensive coordinator and safeties coach at the University of Delaware. Before joining the Blue Hens' staff in 2006, Rapone spent seven seasons as the defensive backs coach at Temple University. Previously, he served another stint on the Owls' staff from 1983-1988. He is widely respected as one of the most knowledgeable defensive coaches in the game. A 1978 graduate of Virginia Tech, where he was a four-year letterwinner for the Hokies, he has also held coaching positions at Pittsburgh, East Tennessee State, and Connecticut. He has coached numerous All-Americans and National Football League players.
