Pat Summitt

Pat Summitt is the head women’s basketball coach at the University of Tennessee, a position she assumed in 1974. In her illustrious career, she has won over 900 career games and has led the Lady Vols to an unprecedented seven Women’s NCAA Championships, as well as 26 Southeastern conference regular seasons championships. In addition to her being inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Summitt has been tabbed with many honors, including the SEC Coach of the Year, the Sporting News, the Associated Press, the U.S. Basketball Writers, the IKON/WBCA, and the Naismith Coach of the Year awards, and was named the Naismith Coach of the Century in 2000. Pat is the parent of one son, Ross Tyler.
