Warren Ruggiero

Warren Ruggiero is the offensive coordinator and the quarterbacks coach at Elon University, a position he assumed in 2006. One of the game’s most respected and highly regarded experts on the Wing-T offense, Ruggiero is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he played quarterback for renowned Wing-T gurus, Tubby Raymond and Ted Kempski. In 1988, he began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater. He then served as the offensive coordinator at Defiance College for four seasons, during which time the Yellow Jackets were 3-9 and set several offensive school records. Next, Ruggiero joined the staff at Clarion for three years. During that time, the Golden Eagles finished first in the country in scoring in NCAA Division 2, broke several school records for offense, and went to the national semi-finals.
