Mike London

Mike London is the head football coach at the University of Richmond, a position he assumed in 2008. Before that, he served as the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach at The University of Virginia for six seasons (2001-2004, 2006-2007). During the 2005 season, he was the defensive line coach for the NFL’s Houston Texans. While on the staff at UVA, he led his Cavaliers’ defensive unit to national prominence, finishing among the nation’s best in several defensive categories. He holds the distinction of coaching a first-round pick in both college and the NFL, including Bronco Nagurski award finalist, Chris Long, in 2007. A 1983 graduate of the University of Richmond, where he played four seasons as a defensive back for the Spiders, London’s coaching resume also includes stints as an assistant at Boston College, the University of Richmond, and The College of William and Mary. London is widely respected as one of the top young defensive coaches in the game.
