It can be reasonably argued that the ability to communicate effectively is that most important skill a person can have. In fact, communication is involved in almost every position in every field, particularly in coaching. In that regard, coaches must be able to successfully get their points across to their athletes if their athletes are to learn what they need to do to master the fundamental requirements of their sport. In a very real sense, proper communication is critical to sound teaching.
